ABOUT US - Who we are:
TANK management founder Gesche Wendt, supports and promotes artists, who have found their own unique visual language. That, combined with an almost limitless resource of ideas and great individual taste, makes TANK management's work very special.
Gesche Wendt graduated cum laude from the Art Institute of Philadelphia in 1999 with a major in Photography. She was honored with various "Best of Quarter Awards" and a "Presidential Scholarship" for outstanding achievements. During her years in the United States, Gesche worked as a photographer and director of modeling and promotion.
Returning to Germany in 2000, Gesche was hired by the photo and art direction department of MAX magazine, a publication with an international reputation for trendsetting photography. For 2 years, Gesche Wendt was the personal assistant of Wolfgang Behnken, the renowned German Art Director, but also worked as a photo-editor at the same time. Between 2005 and 2008, as Director of Photography of MAX magazine, she was not only the creative and organizational force behind numerous national and international photo productions, but discovered new, then unknown talents, who, due to their exposure in MAX, became quickly well-known and established in the photo business.
Beyond the professional experience, Gesche Wendt and the TANK management team have a strong understanding and a keen intuition for visual trends and exceptional photography. Their broad experience in the industry has enabled them to develop a comprehensive network of top international professionals and a skillfull eye for tomorrow's stars in photography.
